	Automate your home Flows are rules to automate your home, created by you. Turn on the lights when you come home. Start your favourite music when you wake up. Buzz your phone when your mail is delivered. When it leaves, flash your lights when it is about to rain. With Homey flows, you can do much more with the devices you already own.
Homey Pro works with the brands you already have With over 50,000 devices supported, your current devices will most likely already work with Homey Pro. Homey learns new devices by installing Apps - Just like a smartphone.
	Save energy with Insights It is often hard to get insights about what your devices are doing all day long. Homey Pro helps by logging these events so that you can review afterwards to see what actually happened at home. Together with Flows, you can even create rules that helps you save energy.

Homey or Homey Pro?

In January 2019 we have announced our second product, Homey Pro. Homey Pro is a more powerful version of Homey designed for the power users and installers.

Homey's mission is to connect all devices in your home. To achieve this goal, Homey runs apps, which add support for certain brands.

As a rule of thumb, one brand needs one app. For example, if you have seven Philips Hue lights, two IKEA TRÅDFRI light bulbs and one Sonos speaker, you will need 3 apps.

Homey can run between 15 and 20 apps flawlessly. If you install more, the experience might become slow or unresponsive.

Homey Pro can run more than twice that amount, so at least more than 40 apps, depending on the kind of apps you're using. For example, a simple app for Z-Wave devices uses less memory than a full-suite home security app.

If you have more than 15 brands of devices, you might consider buying Homey Pro.
For most users, the regular Homey is the right choice.

Homey Pro has Dual Core 1 Ghz processor while Homey uses a Single Core 1Ghz. Homey Pro also have double the RAM (1 GB) than Homey (512 MB).

Apps use a certain amount of memory, usually between 10 MB and 30 MB. Homey Pro has 1 GB of memory available, twice the amount of Homey, which has 512 MB.

Not all of Homey's memory is available for apps, because other memory goes to the operating system, Flows, Insights etc. This is, however, a static amount usually not more than 250 MB.
