CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is a measurement of how natural colors render under an artificial white light source when compared with sunlight.


The higher the CRI rating, the better the colour rendering capacity.

Examples of practical use of CRI is for lighting in a museum for painting, a retail store where there is a need to throw light on the products to reflect the most accurate colour so that it appeals to consumers.
