The Aeotec's Water Sensor 6 - using ZWave Plus, silently monitor areas of your home at risk of water and then takes actions if the worst occurs.

The Water Sensor 6 is a flood sensor, leak sensor, and safety sensor that helps you monitor and prevent damages in 3 expensive emergency events.

Leaks & bursts Water Sensor 6 can detect minuscule amounts of water - as little as 0.5mm / 0.02” of water. That makes it your first line of defence against damaged plumbing.

Floods Whether a small amount or large, Water Sensor 6 is also perfect for protecting against the floods you can anticipate, such as sumps and the ones in basements.

Overflows Accidents happen but that doesn’t make the damage caused by forgotten taps any less expensive. Water Sensor 6 can alert you if you’ve forgotten to turn off the water before it’s too late.

A water sensor that protects your home

By including it into your Z-Wave network, when combined with other Z-Wave devices, if the worst occurs, Water Sensor 6 can take control and send alerts to turn off the electricity and water valves in order to protect your home and your loved ones.

Auto-close water valves In the event of a pipe burst, use Water Sensor 6 to turn off electronic water valves via Z-Wave.

Turn on sump pumps When water is detected, turn on electronic sump pumps automatically through your Z-Wave gateway or switches.

Turn off power automatically Protect your home and family by turning off electronics in the event of a leak or flood.

With its slim design - it’s only 3.8cm wide and 2.4cm high, the Water Sensor 6 will fit and perfectly blend-in wherever you need it, whether that’s in a hard to reach space or somewhere where it can be seen.

The Dock for Aeotec Water Sensor 6 (available separately) is a pro-tool that dramatically enhances the most important features of Water Sensor 6. With Dock and Water Sensor 6 combined, your home is protected by the most advanced Z-Wave flood sensor available.

Monitor 2 areas

Connect 1 or 2 of the provided spot sensors to Dock to monitor for leaks up to 1 metre away from Water Sensor 6. Dock enhances Water Sensor 6 to be able to monitor 2 separate areas using the spot sensors. Each sensor is a probe that can monitor surfaces, including floors, up to 1 metre away from the installation location of the Dock. Only 0.1” thick, probes are perfect for remote monitoring and to monitor in exceptionally tight and hard to reach areas.

Monitor a whole area

You can’t always be sure where the leaks will happen. That’s particularly true when it comes water tanks and boilers. While they will leak, it’s impossible to know from where they’ll leak. But the Dock solves that. Simply connect a lasso sensor and encircle an object completely. Wherever the leak occurs, Water Sensor 6 will then detect it.

Power optimised

The Dock can be powered by mains electricity. Simply plug it into a power outlet using the provided USB cable and a 5VDC, 0.5A USB adapter; a common smartphone charger. Doing so means that Water Sensor 6 no longer needs to depend on batteries; you don’t even have to use them. But if you do, Water Sensor 6’s battery will be used as a backup battery that offers the same battery life as the sensor itself: 2 years. Plenty of time to get power restored to Dock.
