Developed to perform two distinct functions, Aeotec Garage Door Controller lets you both monitor whether a garage door or gate is opened or closed, and it also allows you to control a motorized garage door or gate using its existing motor. One half of the Garage Door Controller is a magnetic contact that monitors whether the garage door is opened or closed. That magnetic contact, made of a hardened alloy to prevent damage, wires directly into the motor controller. The motor controller both retrofits with a garage door's existing motor and your ZWave network, allowing you to optionally control the garage door via Z-Wave.

Aeotec Garage Door Controller is a smart and wireless Garage Door Control system. You can control the garage door to open, close, or stop moving via wireless signal on your gateway client or phone application. You can also control it by using the external switch when your controller or mobile phone is not on hand.

Its 105dB speaker system will play alarm sounds and at the same time, the indicator of the Garage Door Controller's Alarm LED will turn on in which will let you know that the garage door will start to open or close.

The Garage Door Controller allows you to configure different alarm sounds to indicate the door's action. Each action alarm sound can be customized. To change or update new alarm sounds for the Garage Door Controller, connect the Garage Door Controller to your PC host with a USB cable and download your sound files to the flash memory (128 MB) of the Garage Door Controller.

You can also manually switch the alarm sound. To do this, short press the "Button -" or "Button +" button on the Garage Door Controller which will switch the alarm sound to the next sound. Press and hold the "Button -" or "Button +" to decrease or increase the volume.

The Garage Door Controller is also a security Z-Wave device and supports the Over The Air (OTA) feature for the product's firmware upgrade.

Visual warnings

The Aeotec Garage Door Controller indicates when your garage door is about to open or close with visual warnings. Inbuilt within its push button are 8 different LEDs that flash for seconds before your garage door or gate moves.

Audio warnings

In the event that the visual warnings are missed or can&rsquot be seen, the Aeotec Garage Door Controller also offers a speaker system rated to 105dB. Preloaded with tones, and with the ability to upload your own MP3s, the Aeotec Garage Door Controller will also sound for seconds before your garage door or gate moves.

Secure garage door

128 bit encryption: Powered by Aeotec&rsquos Gen5 technology, the Aeotec Garage Door Controller uses encrypted wireless signals to communicate with a Z-Wave network. Gen5 uses the same level of encryption as banks AES 128-bit.
